<\/a>I love speaking to our donors and supporters because it is such a joy to hear from them how God has moved their hearts to partner with us. This experience was one like that and made me feel especially blessed. I had the chance to explain to this young donor \u2013 in a very simple way, that she could understand \u2013 how we receive money and send it on to the mission field.<\/p>\nAt MAI, we recognize that we are stewards of the resources God entrusts to us, and accountability for its use for God\u2019s Kingdom work is something we owe to all donors – big and small, young and old! Jesus made it clear, that it wasn\u2019t the size of the gift that mattered, but the attitude with which it was given! (2 Corinthians 9:7)<\/p>\n
A Jar for Jesus!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Recently my colleague Linda brought a letter to me. \u201cYou have to see this letter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The day of the call was an especially joyful experience. \u00a0Addison\u2019s father explained that he and his wife had been discussing the work of Medical Ambassadors when Addison came with her donation. Addison wanted to know if we had a great big piggy bank to keep the money that she had sent.\u00a0 She also wanted to know how we would use the money to \u201chelp the poor and tell them about Jesus.\u201d \u00a0She told me how her parents had taught her to divide her weekly pocket money into four tiny jars: Tithe, Give, Save and Spend. It was from the \u201cGive\u201d jar that\u00a0she had taken the money to be sent to Medical Ambassadors. Addison is learning a time-tested, Kingdom-centered way to manage her funds. \u00a0The Bible says, \u201cDirect your children onto the right path,<\/em> and when they are older, they will not leave it<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 Proverbs 22:6<\/p>\n What a blessing that conversation was with Addison and her dad. I hope, as I share this with you, it will be a blessing to you as well!<\/p>\n God continues to surprise us over and over, by showing us how He is touching and moving hearts.<\/p>\n Thank you for being a faithful partner in MAI\u2019s ministry. It came from a new donor. With the donation was a cover letter from her father explaining that his 6-year-old daughter, Addison, had come to him with money she had saved. Addison asked that it be sent to Medical Ambassadors International to help the poor and tell them about Jesus. \u00a0I was very moved by the letter and called Addison\u2019s father to see if he could arrange a zoom call with her.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
