In a world where pain and injustice often leave deep scars, the power of\u00a0healing, resilience, and restoration<\/strong>\u00a0is more important than ever. Through the dedicated work of our team, we are seeing\u00a0lives transformed<\/strong>, communities strengthened, and hope restored\u2014one person at a time.<\/p>\n

Addressing Trauma in a Hurting World<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Last quarter, our efforts in\u00a0trauma healing and human trafficking prevention<\/strong>\u00a0took major strides forward. At an international training in Dallas, we\u00a0co-led an oral and story-based trauma healing group<\/strong>, equipping participants with tools to process pain and bring hope to those struggling with emotional wounds. This included a\u00a0specialized version for Muslim communities<\/strong>, ensuring that healing is accessible and culturally relevant.<\/p>\n

Beyond training sessions, we are actively\u00a0developing a Human Trafficking Youth Manual<\/strong>, set to be released in March 2025. This resource will provide\u00a0practical guidance<\/strong>\u00a0for CHE practitioners, churches, and community leaders seeking to protect vulnerable youth and educate them on the dangers of trafficking.<\/p>\n

The Power of Horticultural Therapy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the most exciting developments has been the\u00a0integration of horticultural therapy into trauma recovery work<\/strong>. Research shows that gardening and working with plants can be\u00a0deeply restorative<\/strong>\u00a0for individuals facing emotional distress. We are currently\u00a0consulting on therapeutic gardening lessons for children<\/strong>, with the goal of testing and refining these lessons in real-world settings.<\/p>\n

This initiative is still in its early stages, but we believe it holds\u00a0tremendous potential<\/strong>\u00a0to provide a tangible, hands-on way for individuals to\u00a0heal, grow, and reconnect<\/strong>\u00a0with a sense of purpose.<\/p>\n

Expanding Our Reach: A Vision for the Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Looking ahead, we are preparing to\u00a0engage local churches and communities<\/strong>\u00a0in Canada through our\u00a0Resilience Camp<\/strong>initiative, a program designed to equip leaders with the skills and resources needed to\u00a0foster healing and renewal<\/strong>. We are also strengthening\u00a0networks in Europe<\/strong>\u00a0by participating in the\u00a0EFN Bridge Conference<\/strong>, where we will connect with CHE practitioners and advocates in trauma healing, anti-human trafficking, and horticultural therapy.<\/p>\n

Our vision is clear:\u00a0to see trauma healing and human trafficking prevention resources used in every region through the MAI network<\/strong>. By continuing to train leaders, develop impactful resources, and create spaces for healing, we believe we can make a lasting difference.<\/p>\n
