Have you ever walked away from an argument with your child and felt a wave of guilt wash over you?<\/strong>\u00a0You’re not alone. For many parents, the desire to raise responsible, successful kids can sometimes come out as frustration, raised voices, and regret.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly where Christina found herself.<\/p>\n

A mother of three in Alexandria, Egypt, Christina often responded to her children\u2019s struggles with anger\u2014especially when it came to school. \u201cI used to focus only on their performance,\u201d she admitted. \u201cIf they didn\u2019t do well, I reacted with shouting and pressure.\u201d Each outburst left her feeling more disconnected and discouraged as a parent.<\/p>\n

Then she joined a women\u2019s class held at a local Coptic church\u2014part of a community development effort supported by Medical Ambassadors International. The class covered practical lessons for women, including one session that unexpectedly hit home:\u00a0\u201cThe Kids Have Grown.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The message was simple but powerful\u2014children need guidance, yes, but also gentleness. Love must show up in the tone we use, the patience we extend, and the grace we give\u2014especially when mistakes happen.\u00a0It reminded Christina of a verse she\u2019d heard before but never lived into fully: \u201cA gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger\u201d (Proverbs 15:1).<\/em><\/p>\n

It was a turning point.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen my son came home with a zero, I stayed calm,\u201d she shared. \u201cI didn\u2019t yell. I spoke with kindness. And for the first time in a long time, I felt proud\u2014not of his grade, but of my response.\u201d<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t just about managing emotions. It was about transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since then, Christina\u2019s parenting style has shifted. Her home is more peaceful. Her relationships are stronger. And she\u2019s not on this journey alone. The women in her class have become a community\u2014sharing encouragement, healthy habits, and even a few sesame crackers before each session.<\/p>\n
