Oftentimes, they are not valued in the way God intends for them to be valued, with even less respect than their husbands give to the animals they own! Your heart must be broken to hear such careless disregard for His creation. That is MAI\u2019s reaction too. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>MAI introduced a program called WCL (Women\u2019s Cycle of Life) a number of years ago. We are currently in the process of training field partners to expand this program. This month\u2019s story is about the impact of WCL in some of the villages of Ethiopia and how it is permeating the rest of the community.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In Ethiopia there are areas where women have low social status and are not highly valued; even Community Health Evangelism (CHE) programs can sometimes focus only on issues more important to men.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4997 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dev.reliantcreative.org\/medical-ambasadors\/old-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/lightstock_200251_sm-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>However, the Women\u2019s Cycle of Life program in Ethiopia has caused men to take notice as their wives, children, and communities began to be transformed.<\/p>\n<p>After the women learned about their value in God\u2019s eyes, the women began to grow in confidence and joy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What they learned:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They found providing better physical care and hygiene for their children resulted in fewer childhood illnesses.<\/li>\n<li>They learned about relating to their husbands and expressing love to them.<\/li>\n<li>They found that attending to their personal hygiene and bathing regularly made them more attractive to their husbands and increased marital faithfulness.<\/li>\n<li>The women grew in their understanding of the Word of God and in their faith, with the resulting positive changes in attitudes.<\/li>\n<li>As the men were included in CHE lessons about marriage, even pastors came to the realization that they were not treating their wives well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Repeatedly, in the couple\u2019s trainings, husbands and pastors are asking for forgiveness (even falling on their knees) for the poor treatment of their wives and are seeing them as valuable and precious.<\/p>\n<p><em>To view video from Ethiopia: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2QCGRGR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2QCGRGR<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>This Is How God Uses Medical Ambassadors International\u2026<br \/>\n<\/strong>we all work together.
